Cindy McCain on Tuesday revealed a hateful message she received on the same day that President Trump again slammed her late husband, John McCain.
The widow shared a vile note on Twitter from a woman who called her a “c–t” and said she was “glad” the late Arizona senator was dead.
“Your husband was a traitorous piece of warmongering sh– and I’m glad he’s dead,” the person wrote.
The woman also compared McCain’s daughter Meghan to Miss Piggy and said she hopes “The View” co-host “chokes to death.”
The president revived his long-running feud with McCain, who died more than six months ago, over the weekend, accusing him of leaking the so-called “dossier” alleging ties between Russia and the Trump campaign. He also went after McCain for his ObamaCare vote.
“He had far worse ‘stains’ than this,” Trump tweeted, “including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace!”
Meghan McCain rebuked Trump for saying her dad’s legacy was “stained,” telling the president: “No one will ever love you the way they loved my father.”
On Tuesday, Trump added: “I was never a fan of John McCain and never will be. Thank you very much.”
Cindy McCain sarcastically noted that she shared the direct message because: “I want to make sure all of you could see how kind and loving a stranger can be.
“I’m posting her note [so] her family and friends could see.”
